It's Getting Harder

Well went for a drink last night first since I stopped smoking and it was really hard so used to going out on the terrace for a smoke, You know drink in one hand fag in the other goes together pretty well. Anyway still managed to avoid temptation.

Seriously thinking about getting one of those electronic cigs to see if that will help when out for a drink at least I can join my smoking friends outside and not feel like i should be lighting up, just to be sociable or is it unsociable these days.

One good thing is though at least i can stay in the nice warm pub and not have to go out in the cold and rain just to get my nicotine fix, thats something good about it.

The Monday Morning Blues

Hi Guys,
Still going strong using the lozengers, they certainly are keeping the cravings at bay. The strange feeling is at certain times I think it's time for a smoke like after a meal or when on my way home from work on the bus I used to time it so I could roll a cig and it would be ready as I got near my stop to get off, last night we got to the usual are where i would make one and then thought silly you don't smoke. Does anyone else get that feeling or is it just me?

Wonder What The Cravings Will Be Like?

Well Thankfully I have a good supply of NiQuitin Lozengers to help me out and so far they are working pretty ok,

Starting to get the urge to light up fortunately haven't got any tobacco here. This is hard. Drinking more squash and tea than normal as my mouth is drying up.

Mind you got a good sleep last night I didn't even waken up for a cig, normally I do in the middle of the night.

Help With Qiuting Smoking: How Is All This Going To Affect Me?

Well Apparently After 20 minutes my blood pressure and pulse rate should return to normal. And In about 8 hours the nicotine and carbon monoxide levels reduce by half and by that time I will be climbing the walls.

Just dreading the cravings to start and how bad hey are going to be, always drove me mental every time tried to stop before.

Remember the last time I just couldn't stop drinking tea and munching on biscuits just to take my mind of it.

Today Saturday 28th January 2012 Is My Stop Smoking Day

Well it's just gone 11am and I have been out of bed around four hours and yes I want a smoke, however I have these lovely little NiQuitin Lonzengers to help me.

Just had to keep myself busy walked into town instead of going to the local paper shop just to keep me away from the cigs, Actually I quiet enjoyed the change rather than just going to the shop for the paper and back home in 5 mins with the kettle on and a cig in my mouth.

Well It's getting close to lunch time and that's when I really crave a smoke straight after a meal. Looks like the house is going to get an early spring clean just to keep me busy.

Why Should I Quit?

Well I have been smoking for over 20 years and at my age I should still be a lot fitter and healthier than I am.

Climbing a flight of stairs leaves me out of breath.

It's also costing me about £58 a week as I smoke roughly 20 -25 daily, over a year thats around £3000.

I absolutely love my food but I am finding it harder to enjoy it as I don't taste or smell it like I used to.

According to my doctor with the amount I have been smoking my heart is working very hard to get the oxygen round my body hense the breathlessness.
